Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the xlegit Chrome extension and the xlegit.xyz website (together, the “Service”). By installing the extension or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

The Service is operated by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME], tax identification number [NIF], with registered address at [ADDRESS]. Contact: legal@xlegit.xyz. This notice is provided under Article 10 of the Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI). The operator is the data controller for the processing described in the Privacy Policy.

1. The Service

xlegit estimates a 0–100 trust score for public X profiles you choose to inspect. It shows community reports filed by other users alongside the score. The score is a tool, not a verdict. You remain solely responsible for any decision you make in response to a score or report, including whether to engage with, mute, block, or report another account.

2. Scores and reports are opinions

Scores are automated estimates derived from signals that are publicly visible on a profile page. Community reports are the unverified opinions of the users who submit them. We do not fact-check individual reports. Reports are shown separately from the algorithmic score and never blended into it. Neither a score nor a report is a statement of fact about any person, and neither should be relied upon as one. A profile’s owner can dispute a score or ask us to withhold it through the dispute form.

3. No affiliation with X Corp

xlegit is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp, X, Inc., Twitter, Inc., or any successor entity. Our product is a third-party tool that runs in your browser.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use the Service if you live in Spain, and otherwise at least the age of digital consent in your country (16 in most of the European Economic Area, 13 elsewhere). If you use the Service on behalf of an organization you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

5. Accounts

Some features require an account. You sign in with a one-time email link. We never store passwords. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your email account and for all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or stalk any person.
  • Submit knowingly false community reports or disputes.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the scoring algorithm beyond what is publicly documented in our scoring methodology.
  • Interfere with the Service’s rate limits, security, or availability.
  • Use automated means to scrape scores at scale.
  • Use the Service to violate applicable laws.

7. Pro subscription

The Pro plan is €5 per month, billed monthly, or €40 per year, billed yearly, via Stripe. Prices exclude VAT where it applies; Stripe shows the total before you pay. Where a free trial is offered it lasts 7 days, and cancelling before it ends means you are not charged. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and is not pro-rated. We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

Immediate performance and the right of withdrawal

Pro is a digital service that starts the moment your payment is confirmed. By starting the subscription you expressly request that we begin providing it immediately and acknowledge that, once performance has begun, you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for that period. Independently of this, we honour the goodwill refund in section 8.

8. Refunds

We refund the most recent billing period if you ask within 14 days of that payment and have not exceeded reasonable usage. Email support@xlegit.xyz from the address on your subscription.

9. Content concerns and takedowns

If you believe the Service displays content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringes your rights, or misuses a trademark, write to abuse@xlegit.xyz with the handle concerned and the reason. We acknowledge every notice within 72 hours and decide within 30 days. If a notice is well founded, we remove or withhold the content. Account holders disputing their own score can use the dispute form, which follows the same timeline.

10. Service changes

The Service will evolve. Features may be added, modified, or removed. The scoring algorithm will change as we learn what works. Material changes that reduce Pro value will be communicated in advance.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE TRUST SCORE IS A HEURISTIC AND MAY BE INACCURATE. Nothing in this section limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM AND (B) €100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the extension popup. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Madrid, Spain have jurisdiction over disputes not resolved through informal negotiation, without prejudice to the courts of your place of residence if you are a consumer in the European Union.
